Usage
Single-quote testimonial — Quote icon, big bold quote text in a hue from the expressive palette, and an attribution line with author / title / company. Use sparingly: one testimonial per page reads stronger than a row of three.
Quote color
The quote text resolves to the primaryComplementary hue's
700 grade. For subtheme blue,
primaryComplementary is orange — so the quote renders
in deep orange against the page bg. Pass hue_override
to lock to a specific palette regardless of the active page theme.
Layouts
With image — circular portrait at the start (160px
mobile, 180px desktop), blockquote next to it. The image overlaps
the bottom of the section slightly (-4.5rem) for the
floating-portrait effect.
Without image — the blockquote sits on a tinted
card filling the full inner column. Card color is
expressive[hue][100] — the lightest tint in the active
hue's palette.
Cascade behavior
Without hue_override, the quote follows the page's
active data-theme: the JS subtheme is hardcoded to
blue in v4, so the lookup uses blue → orange. v5 will
align the JS subtheme with the active CSS theme so both layers move
together.
